Abstract

In October 1999, Carmen Martín Gaite presented the audio version of her poetry collection, "A rachas," in Barcelona. Minutes before, she had granted me an interview for BTV, Barcelona's local television station. The extraordinary thing is that it was the second and also the last she did for television, although I didn't know it at the time. I learned this eight months later, when, following the writer's death, I made a documentary in her honor. These notes recount the episode of this gift based on my memory and the documents I have from twenty-five years ago. They are complemented by the statements Carmen Martín Gaite made during our meeting.
