This necrology was written in honor of Francisco Ayala, a prolific writer who participated from a young age in important magazines in Spain (La Gaceta Literaria, among others). He obtained the chatedra of Political Law and moved to Chile at the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War with his family. He later lived in the United States until in the sixties he returned to Spain. He was not only a great narrator, but an important thinker, just like Ortega y Gasset, since he covered different humanistic disciplines with his works, such as aesthetics, narration, sociology and even cinema.
