In the First Don Quixote, the comedy is based on the protagonist's conflicts with the external world, since Cervantes tried to make fun of the books of chivalry. The article focuses above all on the episode of the galley slaves, which Don Quixote wants to save from forced labor and set them free. To provide all this humor to his work, Cervantes used other literary genres and works that he had read and had marked him in his youth, even for the creation of a character, such as the main galley slave: Ginés de Pasamonte, a classic rogue. Also, the unpredictability of Don Quixote and his continuous delusions in interactions with other characters add humor to the novel.
