Abstract

In 2011 a seminar was held in the Magdalena Palace to remember the figures of polygraph and scholar Santanderino, Menéndez Pelayo, and Lope de Vega. Different conferences were held over several days. The inauguration conference was: «Lope de Vega according to Menéndez Pelayo: the fight for the canon». Through the various presentations, the genius of the work of the two authors was revealed. An example of this was Menéndez Pelayo’s evolution and classification of the Lope de Vega cars. The last of the round tables refers to «The consideration of Lope de Vega from Menéndez Pelayo to the present day».
