A biographical writing by José Ramón Luanco on Menéndez Pelayo (c. 1898)

Abstract

The following article collects some biographical notes by José Ramón Fernández Luanco about Menéndez Pelayo. Luanco was the former tutor of Menéndez Pelayo and professor at the University of Barcelona, so his figure had great influence on the life of Menéndez Pelayo. He is considered one of the most decisive people in the formation and in the first steps, intellectual and vital, of his pupil.
