The trajectory of the Bulletin from its creation to the fulfillment of its centenary allows us to establish various parameters of motives or themes from the critical point of view of its editorial cadence. The news material referring to the epistolary of writers belonging to realism-naturalism is overwhelming and, at the same time, highly relevant and essential for the student of literature. It is also worth mentioning the publication of articles that analyze the Spanish novel of the second half of the 19th century from a broad perspective, from the beginning of its life to the last publications of that generation. Pereda is by all accounts the most studied novelist in the Boletín, both early and recently. Galdós also occupies an outstanding place, followed by Pardo Bazán and Palacio Valdés. Clarín and Valera follow them in importance. Already distanced from the interest of critics and contributors to the Bulletin would be Alarcón. Of the rest of the novelists belonging to that time, their presence is almost testimonial, sporadic, but interesting, since it allows us to establish a long journey through the narrative that would lead to or be linked to the new aesthetic trends that appeared in the first decades of the 20th century.
