This article presents in full correspondence addressed by Ernesto Giménez Caballero –who described himself as “grandson of 98”– to Miguel de Unamuno. The collection of letters begins in 1923, when the first one debuted in the literary world with Notas marruecas de un soldado, and extends to 1936, the year of the death of Unamuno. In the opening pages is studied the osci- llatory intellectual relationship that existed between the two writers and pro- vides the context for a proper understanding of the letters, so far unpublis- hed, that have been preserved in the Casa Museo Unamuno, of Salamanca.
