Abstract

This obituary pays tribute to the figure of Cristóbal Cuevas, an eminent philologist and a brilliant professor for his students. He is considered the world’s leading specialist in San Juan de la Cruz. He also studied 16th-century authors such as Santa Teresa, Cervantes and their works. He was an international philologist and a great bibliophile.
