This article reviews the work on Consuelo Berges by Raquel Gutiérrez Sebastián, which delves into the work of the Cantabrian writer for the Spanish culture of the last century. Firstly, it mentions the experiences of Berges and some family aspects that influenced her personality and work. It reviews her legacy from the journalistic beginnings, an important contribution of Gutiérrez Sebastián, since until now they had not been cataloged. Her book captures Berges's vindictive attitude in a sociopolitical context in which women have neither a voice nor a vote and, however, Berges was in charge of criticizing any injustice with irony and emotion. It is a remarkable work for the inclusion of unpublished data and for showing little-known facets of the Cantabrian writer.
