Abstract

Adolfo Sotelo Vázquez's edition of the essays by Francisco Giner de los Ríos is recommended reading for those who study nineteenth-century literature. He not only reviews and collects various Ginerian articles, but also includes in the Appendix tributes and words from other authors and friends of his time, to honor his figure, his work and his Krausist and liberal social contributions. Specifically, the articles collected in this edition deal with arts and letters, as its name indicates, that is, about history, philosophy, education, religion, politics..., not just limited to aesthetics and critics.
