Abstract

The compilation book of Cervantine articles by José Montero Reguera offers an analysis and a better understanding of the work of the author of Don Quixote, since it deals above all with the process of inventing the most important novel in our literature. Throughout his articles, which are summarized in this review, Montero explains different aspects of Cervantes' work and relates it to other novels or writings by him. Argues the inclusion of poetry in Don Quixote, the connections with books by other authors, more or less contemporary with Cervantes, points out the situation of the printing press at that time, delves into the most relevant issues and the humor of the novel.
