Abstract

The new edition of Peñas arriba of Pereda prefaced and annotated by the teacher Laureano Bonet provokes in this note several questions on the role of this novel in the work perediana, on the relation of the way of writing novels of the Cantabrian writer with subgenre of the rural European novel and brings over of the interpretation accurate and tinted with the symbolic value of the statement studied by Bonet in this one and other previous works.
