Abstract

The edition on the works of Palacio Valdés by Elena Lorenzo Álvarez and Álvaro Ruiz de la Peña Solar was brought up due to the commemoration of the birth of this writer. The volume includes several writings that deal with the biography and work of Palacio Valdés; La aldea perdida (The Lost Village) is one of the novels that gets the most prominence and each collaborating author analyzes it from different perspectives. This review summarizes the interventions of many other collaborators, whose works highlight the importance of the author in question and, due to the quality of the research and contributions, it is a book that greatly interests Palacio Valdés scholars.
