Abstract

This review discusses the proceedings of the II International Congress of Armando Palacio Valdés, held in 2006 in Asturias, the writer's homeland. This review summarizes the speeches given in this commemoration, mentioning all those involved who participated with his writings to honor Palacio Valdés on the 150th anniversary of his birth. Not only the content of his works is commented, but also what they mean and the depth they supposed for the context and their relations with it, sociology and other works by the same author. All these contributions attest to the validity of the Asturian writer and are all essential reading to delve into the research and study of Valdés.
