Abstract

The death of the English Hispanist Alan Deyermond, specialized in medieval Spanish literature, is commemorated. He was the creator of the Medieval Hispanic Research Seminar and colloquiums have been proposed from him that attract the attention of young and specialized researchers. Some of his books have been used in universities as primary manuals. He studied and wrote about very important medieval works, such as La Celestina, El libro del Buen Amor, Libro de Apolonio, etc., and even focused on cancionero poetry in the various languages spoken in the peninsula during the Middle Ages.
