Abstract

The Hispanist and Cervantist Eulalio Ferrer, exiled in Mexico, where he remained for the rest of his life, is remembered. This text reviews his work, his personality, his relationships with his friends and family, his mettle in the face of the cruel vicissitudes of life and his relevance in the cultural panorama. Above all, special attention is paid to his devotion to Don Quixote, to whom he dedicated several of his works and studies, and it is mentioned that he was named Favorite Son of the city of Santander.
