Abstract

Tribute is paid in this necrology to José Manuel López de Abiada, a highly relevant Spanish literary critic. His biography was marked by the postwar period and his exile from Spain. He focused his studies on Law, Economics and Philology and, after several years practicing as a labor lawyer, he obtained a Doctorate in Spanish literature. He was a writer, critic, editor and supervisor of doctoral theses. This text collects names of relevant friends of López de Abiada and laments his death because it meant the loss of a great person.
