Tribute is paid to Alfonso Sastre after his death, for being a relevant Spanish writer, poet, screenwriter, critic and, above all, playwright. His interest in theater began as a child and was reinforced when he joined Arte Nuevo. Both he and other colleagues wanted to renew this art in Spain, since he was quite forgotten. In his early years he was forced to publish under censorship and with amateur college groups. It was not until 1954 when he premiered his work La mordaza in a more professional manner. Later he was able to go to study in Paris and in his artistic heyday he created the most important theatrical works of his career. Despite the fact that some of his works were not published in the written collections or were censored, they were able to see the light later and are still preserved.
