«Looking from tomorrow to the last day remembered»: Gilberto Owen and his shipwreck in poetry

Abstract

This article proposes a commentary on the poetry of Gilberto Owen, the original writer of Asilo del Rosario. Specifically, he delves into his poem «Sindbad the stranded», I consider a reflection on the poetic experience, among others. Gilberto Owen was a poet whose desire to create in poetry his only dwelling place, would allow to better understand the so personal character of his work.
