Abstract

This obituary pays tribute to the figure of Julio Maruri Movellán, who died in 2018. He had a life divided between the two vocations: poetic and pictorial. In Madrid he composed the poems that will become part of his first book, Las aves y los niños, which he published in 1945, and in 1947, he published his second work Los años, with which he obtained the accésit of the prize Adonais that year.
