Abstract

This obituary pays tribute to the figure of Julio Maruri Movellán, who died in 2018. He had a life divided between the two vocations: poetic and pictorial. In Madrid he composed the poems that will become part of his first book, Las aves y los niños, which he published in 1945, and in 1947, he published his second work Los años, with which he obtained the accésit of the prize Adonais that year. He was an unclassifiable and complex poet, who received numerous awards and tributes. He made exhibitions and editions.
