Abstract

Isabel Oyarzábal, the writer, and Amparo Quiles Faz, the editor of Mujer, Voto y Libertad, compile in this work a collection of journalistic articles, notes and bibliography on the struggle of women to claim their rights in the 20th century. The initial study is done by the publisher itself, giving a historical and biographical context to the subject regarding Oyarzábal's life. She this she began to write articles in the newspapers, being aware that, at the beginning of the 20th century, bourgeois women were readers of the columns. He published in various magazines and newspapers even under pseudonyms and those included in the book are almost all from El Día. Thanks to his writings, he was an activist, since he contributed ideas to improve society and the position of women in many areas . To finish, in the bibliographical section, Quiles Faz includes various hemerographies, places, events and characters of the time that enrich the contextualization and knowledge of the subject.
