The text deals with the studies and various editions that Alfonso Rey has made of Buscón, the picaresque novel by Francisco de Quevedo. It maintains that the author edited it several times at different times. This review first explains the context of the editions of the Buscón, from its first publication in the 17th century to the present, with the arrangements by Quevedo and subsequent editors. The hypotheses about the authorship of the corrections of the novel are partially clarified in this edition, despite the fact that there is not much documentation in this regard. In it, in addition, the four narrative versions of the work are analyzed and Rey theorizes about the chronology of each one. Likewise, he breaks down the testimonies and explains the corrections, characteristics of each text.Downloads
