The book discussed in this review is a compilation of the epistolary communication between Julio Maruri and Pedro Beltrán de Heredia, two memorable writers from Santander, close friends who, throughout their lives, maintained their friendship through letters, in which They talked about any topic. Reading them you can infer their personalities and the human quality that both possessed. Maruri and Beltrán de Heredia had in common having lived outside Santander and Spain, and it was difficult for both of them to be recognized as poets and intellectuals, respectively. The review delves into their people and concludes that, by reading this edition of their epistles, many things are learned, both from them and from their lives, their context, and concepts that are intrinsically human and common to all readers, so reading It is always enriching.
