This text recounts several encounters of Juan Antonio González Fuentes in gatherings and meetings with different Spanish poets in Santander, including José Hierro and Antonio Colinas. The author of this review focuses on Elda Lavín's edition of the compilation of the poetic work of Carlos Salomón, a poet highly acclaimed by his colleagues, as explained here. Various data from his biography are mentioned, such as the period from 1944-1955, when he developed his literary and public life together with other poet friends; his collaboration in and creation of a magazine; his life in Santander and his achievements, etc. He left this anthology prepared before his death and it is Juan Antonio González Fuentes who now reviews the 2007 edition, contributing in this review all the knowledge he has about the author and his contemporaries, whom he had the pleasure of know. Lavín's edition is worth reading because it is the first to include all of Solomon's poems.
