The alternative to Nadal: the case of Concha Alós and the Planeta

The writer Concha Alós became famous thanks to the Planeta Prize, winning it not only once, but twice, in just three years. In this article, in addition to studying the literary context in which these victories were possible and the mechanisms of literary prizes, it is shown how Alós’ career was particularly directed by them, despite not winning the holy grail Nadal Prize.
